World of Experience
Joe has literally been to the four corners of the world investigating and reporting on the major events of the past 50 years. For courageous action during one of his four tours in Vietnam, Galloway was decorated with a Bronze Star Medal with V (valor) for rescuing wounded soldiers while under fire in the Ia Drang Valley, Vietnam, in November 1965. His is the only medal of valor the U.S. Army awarded to a civilian for actions during the Vietnam War.
